What I am doing now.
A now page is what you would tell a friend you had not seen in a year. This is the honest version of mine.
Last updated 11 September 2026.
The work
I am co-founder, CTO, and Chief AI Officer at Berry, and I still run the AI transition there myself. I decide what we build, what we buy, and what we wait on, and then I live with the answer. Most days I am in the middle of something that works but is not finished, and by now I take that as the normal state of this work.
The surprise of the last year is how much of my time goes to the people side. Which workflow changes, who owns it, who checks the output, and what we stop doing to make room for it. The software is rarely the hard part.
The writing
I write on this site most weeks, about where AI fits in an established business and what has to change for it to help. Four pieces are on the calendar right now: what AI actually costs a firm your size, what happens when AI takes the junior task and hands you the review, where client data is allowed to go, and why buying automation without changing the process just installs a guess.
I also keep a plain-English AI glossary, one term at a time. Most of the trouble I see starts with two people in the same meeting using the same word for different things.
The videos
I started a YouTube channel and it is nearly empty on purpose. I wanted the pipeline working before I filled it: write the script, record both videos in one sitting, cut the clips for Instagram and TikTok, and turn the same idea into the newsletter.
The rule for every one of them is the same. Teach something real, end with a verdict, and never post a demo that proves nothing. The first videos are in production now.
The rest
The rest of my life is a house with two small kids in it, which sorts my priorities faster than any framework I have used at work. I cycle, I 3D print, I bake my own pizza, and I build RC cars and robots with whatever patience is left at the end of the week.
What I am not doing
- Teaching people how to start an AI agency. Wrong audience for me, and there is plenty of it already.
- Building another prototype to prove AI can do something. Proving it can was never the hard half.
- A course or a paid community. Both are coming, and both come after a year of this writing, not before it.
- Discovery calls to work out whether AI fits your firm. If you have a team and a repeatable process, it does. The only question worth a meeting is which job you start with.
Keep up
That is where things stand. If you want the new pieces as they land, the newsletter is the easiest way to follow along, and you can always write to me directly.
